Sal is the main tourist destination in Cape Verde and especially famous for water sports. The island has world class conditions for kite surf, windsurf and surf, body board and skim from beginner to professional. The best period to practice these sports starts at the end of October and goes on till the end of April, the other months are still good for beginners.
